             You’ve seen them any number of times—shoes lying on the side of the road, tied together and hanging on telephone lines or stuck upside down on fence posts—lost shoes—lost soles, if you will. 

A new book, Lost Soles: How and why shoes get lost, recently released by Malone-Ballard Book Publishers.  The book, edited by Barbara McPherson and illustrated by Heather Hosford, is a collection of eighteen stories in various genres written by a number of authors, including three children. Most of the stories are entirely fiction, but one is true. All are suitable for family reading.  Many are humorous, some thought-provoking—all are entertaining.
