William G. Hosford is a storyteller by nature. He was born in Franklin, MA and currently lives in Lisbon, IA with his wife, Winnie. They have two daughters. Heather is the younger and lives in Massachusetts. Daria lives in Iowa with her husband, Kevin, and their son Peter.
Bill, as he prefers to be called, has many interests upon which to draw for his stories. He writes with knowledge, passion and humor in a relaxed, conversational style. Bill is also an award-winning photographer and artist who can bring his subjects to life with creative illustrations.
More recently, Bill has earned his Private Pilot Certification in Hot Air Balloons and jointly owns Balloon Travels Unlimited with his son-in-law, Kevin Kamp.
Mr. Hosford has an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, a B.A. Degree in Earth Science and two Master of Education Degrees: one in Educational Media and the other in School Librarianship. He has previously been a middle school Science teacher, high school Library-Media Specialist and Energy Engineer in Massachusetts, and is currently a School Library-Media Specialist in Cedar Rapids, IA, where he has worked in both elementary and middle schools.
